ASSISTANT DIRECTOR POSITION

We are seeking an energetic, creative and hardworking individual who thrives in an ever-changing work environment to fill our vacant position of Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation.

This is a 40 hour per week, full benefit position. The pay range will be based on experience and will be between $13.50 and $14.15 per hour with occasional overtime. The majority of hours will take place weekdays from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., though night and weekend work is frequently necessary.

Preferred candidates will possess a bachelor's degree in Recreation, Education, Physical Education, or related fields, have above average word processing and multimedia skills, and have excellent customer service and public relation capabilities. Parks maintenance and landscaping experience is a plus. Some heavy lifting and prolonged hours of manual labor are also expected at times.

The successful candidate will perform a variety of administrative/clerical, manual, and recreational work in planning and implementing a year-round, town-wide Parks and Recreation program.

FIELD MAINETNEANCE POSITION
SEASONAL PART-TIME

The Parks and Recreation Department is currently seeking applications for a 25 hour per week field maintenance position to begin April 17, 2017 and extend through September 1, 2017.  Responsibilities will include mowing, trimming, and field and park maintenance at Hippach Field and other town facilities.  The applicant must be able to work independently as well as with other staff members on projects and hold a valid Maine driver’s license.

Position pays $9.00 per hour with no benefits; work week is Monday through Friday 9 A.M – 2 P.M.  Must be 18 years or older.
