fiscal year changes

At their October 14, 2025, meeting, the Select Board voted to move the Town of Farmington to a fiscal year of July 1 - June 30 beginning on July 1, 2026. There will be a six-month interim budget covering January 1 to June 30, 2026, with a payment due in early May. This budget will be stripped of capital and include only necessary operating expenses for the six-month period. Separate Town Meetings will be held for the 2026 and new FY2027 budgets in March and April, respectively. To assist in this transition, the Board also voted for a 0% interest rate on late payments for the interim 2026 tax bill.
